Once in a while something bloody brilliant comes along!
This is the Plaud NotePin digital AI witness. Bet you are still none the wiser as to what it is!
Well, it’s a tiny recording device that is about the size of a small fitness tracker, sits on standby for 45 days and records for 20 hours all on a single charge. All you do to start it recording is give it a firm squeeze and a second squeeze stops the recording.
But that’s not the best of it. Once you end the recording it transfers the audio to an app on your phone and you can then apply all sorts of AI tools to it and you end up with not only the sound file but also a complete transcription of the recording along with all sorts of handy annotations to help you review it.
Then you can either keep it on your phone in the app or send it off to whatever storage you want. In my case I send it off to my personal cloud file storage server.
Unlike other voice recorders this is incredibly discreet, there is only a VERY tiny LED light that comes on when recording and it’s always with you. I have mine on a lanyard around my neck but you also get a spring clip, a magnetic clip and a watch strap, and there is no digging through your stuff looking for it like you would do with a voice recorder or getting your phone out and trying to find the voice recording app. It’s just there ready and waiting for you.
