Added a Tecsun PL-330 to the shack
Ever since I got rid of my SDR radio I’ve had no means of monitoring my audio quality on HF frequencies. I’ve looked at all sorts of options and I decided the best thing I could do was to pick up an FM/MW/LW/SW “pocket” radio/receiver.
After doing some research I decided that a Tecsun would be idea as they have a lot of good reviews and writeups on line. Thing is, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on this because it was really only for testing audio and tracking down RFI issues in the flat so no need to be all singing and all dancing super complicated.
Eventually, after a lot of looking I came across this tiny radio, the Tecsun PL-330. Measuring about 5”x3”x1” and only costing £45.00 it’s absolutely perfect for the job I need it for.
I’ve only just started playing with it and it’s a lot more complicated that it looks because each button seems to do 15 different things depending on weather the radio is switched on or off!!
But first impressions re very good for now.
