I really shouldn’t be having these issues with the NHS

I really do feel massively let down by NHS members of staff. Over the last week I have again been treated as an “incomitance” when I attended an appointment at the Queens Medical Centre’s eye department (I say again because this is something that happens far too many times). I struggle to get to the hospital on my own, I struggle to get into the department only to be sent away without being seen because they are too busy treating able bodied patients to waste their time offering a tiny bit extra help to a disabled patient.

I came across a post with an image (see below) highlighting that March is the UK’s Disability History Month that perfectly sums up life as a disabled woman and just how badly we are still being treated. I think it’s very fair to say that we are still subjected to overwhelming levels of discrimination. especially from groups of people who should know better like NHS workers.
